Are you ready to start healing from Vicarious Trauma?

The BRAVE Vicarious Trauma Workshop

As a trauma therapist, you are well aware of vicarious trauma and how it can affect you. You help people heal from their own trauma every day. So then why is it so damn hard to do that for yourself?!

In this workshop, you will deepen your understanding of your own VT and I will walk you through my approach to building a realistic and flexible plan of action.

I want to help you thrive in the field you love while consistently putting on your own oxygen mask first!

So…what’s your story of VT?

  • You’re new to trauma work and realizing grad school didn’t exactly prepare you for all of this…

  • You’ve been around the block and back, so VT isn’t new to you, but you could use a fresh perspective on next steps

  • You have a good self-care routine, but you’re noticing some cracks and want to be proactive before they break

If you resonated with any of these, this workshop is just what you need to stop VT in its tracks and take back the reins!

I have worked in the trauma field since undergrad, waaay back in 2005. I can’t imagine myself doing anything but trauma work, but I’m just as vulnerable to vicarious trauma as the rest of us.

I’ll never forget the slow creep of VT that overshadowed my first year post-licensure. If I hadn’t done the work to name the subtle (and not so subtle) ways it was interfering with my life, I may have left the field altogether.

I get how suddenly VT can rear its ugly head, stealing our energy and patience, tempting us to isolate and check out. Regardless of where you are in your career, a fresh set of eyes can help you keep doing the amazing work that you love. That’s why I created this course for you!

Real trauma therapists, REAL results

“With Jenny, I know she understands the challenges of this work. She has helped give me perspective, while also appreciating that taking care of me is as important as taking care of my patients. I have learned ideas, based on Jenny’s years in this area, on how to approach things in a very helpful way.”

This video workshop and workbook will help you:

  • Learn the difference between VT and burnout: Knowing where you are along the spectrum of VT to burnout will bring you clarity and empower you to take your next steps!

  • Discover the patterns in how VT shows up for you: By breaking VT down into its Emotional, Physical, Relational, and Occupational parts, you will start creating the building blocks for change.

  • Get brutally honest about how you avoid VT: It’s tough to ask for help, I’m the first to be guilty there. But until you know how you’re avoiding VT, you won’t know how to start your healing.

  • Walk away with an individualized action plan: Prioritizing yourself requires realistic and doable strategies. Your tailored action plan won’t be pie in the sky because you deserve success!

 Rave Reviews from Happy Students

 You might be thinking...

“I already know all the self-care things, I teach my clients how to use them every day. How could this workshop possibly teach me anything new?!”

I know you know all the things because I do too. That sure as hell doesn’t mean I actually use them though!

When I’m not walking the walk and taking care of my needs the way I tell my clients to, I get stuck in the vortex of feeling ashamed that I’m not doing the things I know could help.

That’s what inspired this workshop - I had to meet my own needs for periodic resets beyond just telling myself to “do more yoga.” When you do this work with me, you won’t have a one time win - you will have an invaluable tool to use over and over again any time your self-care needs change.

Trauma therapists deserve to be cared for too, and you don’t have to do it alone.

Join me so we can combat VT together!
